Mystic Celt
- Neighborhood: Lakeview
- 3443 N. Southport Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60657
- 773-529-8550
- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
Located in the former Bistro Zinc space, the Mystic Celt is the latest pub from the Vaughan family, owners of several Vaughan's locations and Corcoran's in Old Town. Instead of the usual traditional decor, this Lakeview spot puts a modern spin on the Irish pub. There are couches scattered about, flat screens, candle-lit booths and oversized armchairs. It isn't a total departure though -- you can still find shepherd's pie on the menu and Guinness on tap.

even though it's gotten better from the opening a few years ago, that's not saying much as the service was non-existent for the first couple years....
