I've stopped here before for drinks and went for dinner the other night. I've also been to the Aurora location.
Overall the meal pricing is extremely high. I would go elsewhere for a wallet friendly value. For a lousy lettuce salad with 4 shrimp was $11. You could buy a pound of premaild salad bag for $0.49 and a 25 count shrimp for $3.99.
The Irish man sandwich- tasteless hamburger on a bun with Irish bacon and an egg, servied with fries was $12.
We had to keep asking for items and the waitress was too busy messing around with the manager.
Report This ReviewActually there is so much more that ballydoyle has. I went once and thought that it was great but I had to go a second time in case it was a fluke.... NOPE it was great then as well. I was floored when I saw they had Magners on TAP!!!! I havnt seen a bar ever that has it. Magners is the best Irish Cider I have ever tried. Not to sweet not to dry. They also have the best chips with blue cheese... The night I was there they had this band called Insta Karma. I guess they are a Lennon tribute but regardless it was a great time. Crowded but not obnoxious like some places. Overall both times were amazing and I may have found my new regular spot!!!
Report This ReviewThis past sunday I went to ballydoyle's for dinner, they had this great live irish music session playing while my husband and I had drinks and dinner. It has such a cozy atmosphere to get out from the cold winter air. I had a nuttyirishman to drink, its a hot coffee drink and my husband had Beamish one of his favorites, like guinness but not as bitter. This was my first time here and I loved the great service and the place was busy. This establishment definitely know what they are doing
Report This ReviewWe had a groovy time over the weekend at ballydoyle. The service was great, the drinks were cold, the food was delicious. Highly recommend going there asap.
Report This ReviewWe love coming to Ballydoyle. The service is always good and the food is fabulous. There are plenty of beers to choose from on tap and the Guiness is always perfect. The weekends can be a little crowded with the bands playing. Our favorite is the corn beef and cabbage! I would highly recommend Ballydoyle to anyone looking for authentic Irish fare.
Report This ReviewI had a wonderful time there! Great food and a vibey atmosphere. Feels like a pub should, friendly people and warm cheerful staff
Report This ReviewThis place has awesome decor. From the authentic looking storefronts along the outside to the confessional booth in one of the rooms, this place has got charm. The staff that we encountered were helpful and friendly, and the beer is great. The food is what you would expect from an Irish pub and there are the American mainstays if you don't feel like eating from 'across the pond'. Our favorites are the corned beef and cabbage, and the Irish fry. Live bands are offered every weekend and during the summer carshows we like to stay for the Neverly Brothers. Truly a gem in the suburbs! Slainte!
Report This ReviewThis place is great, I can not believe the selection they had for beer. They had like 20 beers on draft, and they were actually GOOD beers! I didnt eat but I saw the food coming out and it looked great too. I was there over the weekend and they had a great band playing. Gets a little loud but it is always fun. Service was aboe average even for how busy it was. Make sure you check them out!
Report This ReviewThere is nothing like this place. It really feels like home. Place get packed on band nights, but everyone is friendly.
I love the food as well. My group had many items from the menu. We all enjoyed the food. Excellent boxty and corned beef sandwich. The bites rock!! Loved the Guinness. You have to check out the confessional in the back. This is a place that hits a home run.
I always love the food! My favorite is the steak boxty, though the Guinness stew is great, too. My husband has been working his way through the Irish comfort food (or whatever that section is called) and loves it all. The Irish chips are to die for. Get the blue cheese dressing on the side!
