- Price range: $$$ ($16-$25)
Kona Grill offers an exotic twist on American cuisine, with influences from throughout the Pacific. The decor rides on massive blue aquariums, towering stone walls and latern-like lighting fixtures, and this location also offers an all-season patio with fireplaces and heat lamps during the winter and huge windows that bring in the fresh air during the warmer months. Drool-worthy appetizers include the Maui onion rings with pineapple chipotle sauce, pan-seared chicken potstickers and avocado egg rolls. Meaty main courses vary from lemongrass-crusted halibut with coconut-curry sauce and white-cheddar mashed potatoes to sweet-chili glazed chicken with baby bok choy. There's also a few pizza and pad thai options, including a shiitake goat-cheese pizza with asparagus and tomatoes. The reverse Happy Hour is a big draw here, with late-night specials on drinks, pizza and sushi in the bar area.

Very nice bar and patio bar. Lackluster food. The name suggests a Hawaiian-based, pan-Asian cuisine, but falls short. I should know, I'm from Ha...
