While the drinks are slightly over-priced, the atmosphere at Vertigo off-sets the bill. The roof deck is the ideal place to get a little tipsy on a nice warm Chicago evening after work,

This place is terrible. Rude waitstaff, weak views, overpriced drinks, cheesey decor and an overall bad vibe. Not to mention, the elevator situation getting up there and back was a total pain. Save your time and head someplace else.

The door staff is completely rude and unprofessional. One must wonder if they want to make money since they dont let people in. Dont go here its a waste of time and decor is incredibly tacky.

Ok so I have to admit we were a little disapointed with all of the hype surrounding this place, but our group still had a great time. We went on a Saturday night and the place was full most of the time we were there.

Pros:
-The staff was more than accommodating. Polite, quick, good looking and seemed to be having fun (yet some were obviously confused). Our first time at a club without encountering a rude club head employee or doorman.
-While the drinks were very expensive, they were huge and very strong which made up for the price
-The outside patio is amazing and they allowed us to smoke
-The people who were their were relativity mature, a nice change from 21 year old club kids

Cons:
-This place is deceivingly small, it was hard to get around sometimes
-We literally had to fight to keep our seats from being stolen
-Music is not all that motivating to keep your night going
-We only found one bar with liquor (we were told that the other one is for beer only)

If you're going to go I would recommend going earlier to claim a spot.
Dont expect to be wowed.

Like the ambiance and the loungy feel. The terrace is great and the view is okay if you like looking into somebody's apartment. Contrary to other review, I've seen better looking staff elsewhere. What's with the liquor carts? Good thing is you won't see 20 something year olds trashing the party. Only folks with deep cash pockets.

no views except someone's apmt across the street; no service; poor biz model, long lines for over proced drinks, I'll be heading North By Northwest, this is for The Birds, truly a Pscho Business Plan without a Shadow Of A Doubt--they lost sight of the Notorious Maguffin
