We went here for my daughter's birthday. The food was very good. I loved the coconut chicken. My husband had the kalua pork & really liked it. The staff was super friendly. The place is amazing inside - cool artifacts and authentic decor.

The restaurant was cute but small. The service was very attentive. I ordered a pomegranate martini which was pretty bad. The food was very average. They serve white rice with the majority of their entree's, the rice was dry and sticky. Glad I went but don't think I will return.

One of my favorite places to visit. The best mai tai's I've had in the Chicago area. The kalua pork and taro chips are fantastic. The best reason to go is the atmosphere. Live musicians perform on weekends and fantastic hawai'ian dancers perform every Saturday night. The shows are fun and get willing participants involved. The service can sometimes be a little slow (I know that if they have a lot of reservations they staff more people that night, so call ahead!), but you'll probably be having so much fun with the music, dance, and abundant tikis to look at that you won't care. I would love if their menu had more local-style Hawaiian fare, but that's just my personal preference. The food is still ono nui! They will be opening in a new, larger location with a bigger menu in March of 2008, so, if you've tried this place before, give it another look this spring!

This is a get getaway from the usual restaurants out there! The decor instantly makes you feel like you're out in the islands. The one bad thing was the service. Giving excuses that they're busy and lost the order is not a good thing to hear, nor acceptible.
