Carola's Hansa Clipper, as the sign reads, is a small, Old World, working-class tavern with German music on the jukebox, German bottled and draft beers, and German language in the air. The clacking sounds of the "L," less than 50 feet down the street, don't intrude. German-owned since its inception, the bar is decorated with old German photos - going as far back as WWI. Drinks include Jagertee (a hot concoction made with, you guessed it, Jagermeister) or Echte Kroatzberg (blackberry brandy) to warm a cold soul on a winter night.
