This Boystown spot in the old Gentry space goes for a bar vibe early in the evening, when TVs play Top 40 and pop music videos or sports, and then Scarlet switches into swanky lounge mode at night, when flat-screens become mirrors and DJs hit the decks on weekends. Photos depicting Chicago’s GLBT scene from the ’20s to ’50s grace the walls and scarlet hues add a moody edge. A back parlor bar with custom-made scarlet couches is available for bottle service reservations or private parties.
