A small group of us came to Minibar for our friends' 30th birthday a few Thursdays ago and had a fantastic experience! We were originally going to eat some light apps and enjoy drinks at Winebar but they were unable to accomodate the size of our group at that particular time, so we went next door to Minibar instead. One of the bartenders (Jayson I believe) went above and beyond to accomodate our group when he learned we were celebrating a birthday. Apparently, food is normally NOT served on the Minibar side, but Jayson made it happen for our special occasion. He also made probably some of the best Martinis I've tasted in a long time! Service was excellent, highly recommend.

If you want to be seen this is the place to go. Don't expect conversation people are too busy trying to look cool. What can I say I'm not into it. I'd like to start a trend of getting frumpy trolls to go there to freak all the beautiful people out. Yes the people here really are exceptionally good looking but it seems like that's all they're worried about. Lame

I read the other reviews and we made sure we ordered the cheese course. It was as described, plentiful, and exotic. I had never taste a blue cheese that was yellow with blue veins; it was drizzled with honey and went great on the toasted slices of whole grain baguette; dried fruit, grapes and nuts were also on the plate. Another honorable mention was the classic wedge salad with amazing tomatoes, bacon and the blue cheese dressing was 4 stars. We highly recommend winebar.

Was there for market days this past weekend, and although I have never written a review before I was compelled to do so. This was by far the best place to be on the street !!!! First of all the music was AMAZING, the drinks were great and so was the service. The one thing I can't figure out is where do all the hotties come from. By far the hottest crowd in Chicago is here. I am so glad we have a place like this in Chicago.

We were in town for Market Days and stopped by Saturday night. From the sexy doorman to the servers and bartenders...we truly had a great time. The boys are incredibly hot to look at, and the service, considering what weekend it was, was efficient too.
We will definitely be back soon!!!

4 stars... the grilled cheese panini was off the charts the best I have ever tasted the bread was crispy and perfectly toasted. The service was great, we waited at minibar for a table. Once we were seated we found the waiter to be attractive and charming. We can't wait to go back.

Loved the food and service! Simple, fresh and filling food. Even though it was Friday of Market Days, and the winebar was crowded with patrons...my experience was the same from 2 weeks ago. Good job! Panini's do take a little time, though.

If you consider outright neglect as part of your dining out experience, Winebar is certainly a place not to miss. Ordering the panini takes centuries, you will be lucky if you still have an appetite by the time it gets to your table. The staff is pretty, glassy-eyed, and slack-jawed. Attentiveness is obviously a vice as opposed to a virtue in this place. If you wish to experience the full delights of being ignored, left starving, average food, and less than exceptional service, this place will definitely appeal to you. Its a very pretty husk.

I've always heard from Chicago promoter, Bill Pritchard that Minibar/Winebar is the place to go! It's all he ever talks about. Well, he wasn't kidding! This place rocks! We had dinner in Winebar and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chicken curry salad and my partner had the Caprese salad. We started it all off with their cheese plate. That alone would get us to come back!! From there we enjoyed the rest of the evening on the other side; at Minibar. Linda our server couldn't have been any more wonderful! She knows everyone! I come to Chicago twice a month for work. You can bet I will be back to Winebar!!

We were in Chicago for Pride and passed by Minibar before the parade. We decided to stop in for a drink and wound up staying till late in the afternoon. The incredibly hot staff in their speedo suits and board shorts made Pride for both my boyfriend and myself. Those six-pack hard bodies and great attitudes from the bouncers to the bartenders ensure we will be back VERY soon!!
