The Zoo

The old Twisted Spoke/Brody's on Clark space reawakens as this contemporary three-room lounge, opening in soft launch mode Oct. 24.  "We were playing around with how people act when they're out," says partner Damien Perez. "If you're going to act like an animal, you might as well go to the zoo." A small stage backed with a leopard-printed wall serves to host small music and comedy acts early in the week, while a DJ spins Wednesday through Saturday nights. Contemporary wood furniture and earth-toned couches temper the more theme-y elements of this bar, which include framed photos of animals and a signature cocktail called The Tranquilizer.
