Wild Pug
If Oscar Wilde were alive today, this is what his pub would be like. At least that's what the owners say--and they just might be on to something. Picture the Irish author cozied up by the fireplace, or playing a game of darts. Stretch your imagination and you can see him shaking it with some hot young studs on the 700-square-foot dance floor as VJs keep the party going. Want to watch the action at a distance? Feast your eyes on flat-screen TVs airing live footage from the dance floor. As for the drinks, expect 14 beers on tap and a roster of high-end whiskeys and scotches for sipping.
Originally planned to be named Wilde Pug (note the portait of Oscar Wilde with the dog on his lap inside the bar), owners Steve Milford and Brian Wells opted to drop the "e" after a complaint from similarly named Lakeview bar Wilde. Look for nods to the legal snafu everywhere from "e" dogtags around staffers' necks to the discarded "e" from the bar's sign, framed and hung on the wall.
