Owned by Stephen Calk and Barry Paddor, Transit is right down the street from the Randolph Street "restaurant row." A sprawling tangerine-colored bar and oak-stained dance floor are the main components in this 10,000-square-foot marvel, but the futuristic, metallic staircases swiveling up both sides of the upstairs VIP room grab your attention most. Overlooking the dance floor, the glossy mezzanine is filled with designer Francois Frossard's sexy, minimalistic furniture, including high-back couches, a mahogany "sharing table" and slick little stools. Additional spaces include Marquee (formerly called the Red Room) off the main floor, plus a second floor as well.
