My friends and I are regulars and we went into mothers last week and it was great.
music was good, crowd was lively and service was nice.
we just went last nite and they told my friend and I that we could never come back there again and we wanted to know why and the bouncers said "well my manager just told us not to let you all in.and we said why and they said nothing. it was really disappointing because we got turn away with no explanation and its strange because we never did anything that would get us kicked or anything for that matter but its other clubs in the world...but i dont recommend anyone go there that really just change my opinion for the worst.

Awesome night club!!! It was so much fun. The staff was amazing. With being out of town they were more than willing to help out with directions and whatever else we needed. We left to go to another bar, but saw that there was a huge line so we went back and were very well take care! Great bar would recommend to anyone!

Recently I went and a new dress code was in place.I was told that baggy pants, athletic wear, hooded sweatshirts, pants with deep pockets on the sides, and boots were not allowed.My boyfriend had on khaki pants, a button up plaid shirt, and dress shoes.He couldn't get in because they said his pants were baggy.They weren't and he was definitely better dressed than most around us.The bouncers at the door suck. He offered to the bouncers search him but they still told him to step out of line.Last night, worried we'd have to deal with this crap again, this time he wore khaki shorts.This time we were able to get in, but he shouldn't have even had to worry about this. The dress code policy is stupid.How can you have a $5 cover and have such a strict dress code?The bouncers at the door have this superiority issue going for them and if they don't like you they'll find a reason to not let you in.

my friends and i usual avoided this place during our regular division st pub crawls bc of the cover ($5). however, i will def be back! the dance floor was awesome w/o being crowded, we almost always found a place to sit and rest and the crowd was pretty cool. will def be back.

Wish I had read the reviews before I tried this place. I went to Mother's for the first time on Oct 26 for their Halloween bash. I found it quite- shall we say odd- that the place's regular patrons, who wore your run-of-the-mill, store bought costumes, were the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners in their contest, while the most creative and original costumed attendees were brushed aside or, at one point, even booed. There was this one girl in orange and black with orange and black face paint that should've won first place hands down, and this other girl dressed as a condom package that was just great. But the winner was a guy dressed as Pooh or a cheerleader or something. Guess their regular clientel have no imagination. Anyhow, service was halfway decent, but certainly not spectacular. I certainly won't be going back there. Neither are my friends and associates, especially after I told them about the costume contest.
