Neo is not a large club; it's essentially a room where people dance, with a bar and a few tables around the perimeter. There are numerous TVs behind the bar that broadcast appropriately avant-garde film clips and videos. Walking down the dark alley to the door is a good way to start letting your eyes adjust to the lack of light inside. Sure, there are candles everywhere and there are some groovy strobes and stuff above the dance floor, but the predominantly black clothes and cosmetics coupled with the general malaise of the masses that gather here seem to create a black cloud that overpowers any source of brightness.

25+ and still going strong. One of the cities best dance floors. Great place to bring out of towners to see what is left of Chicago's Goth scene.
