Funky Buddha Lounge
- Neighborhood: Warehouse District
- 728 W. Grand Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60610-3932
- 312-666-1695
Years after opening, Funky Buddha still attracts a crowd that's just as eclectic as its early days, thanks to a lively atmosphere in a laidback, loungy space and a diverseroster of hip-hop, house, reggae, electronic, Latin, jazz and funk DJs and live bands that cater to a diverse crowd. Long black leather and faux leopard skin banquettes and ottomans line the wall opposite the main bar, but the center room is where dancers fill the floor. Chicago artist Gary Dorreand has covered the walls with Indian- and Asian-inspired murals that add even more vibrance to an already colorful space.
