With its slick black-and-red interior and sophisticated lounge-y vibe, this Ukranian Village club could easily be pretentious -- but you won't find any attitude here. Appropriately named Darkroom, this haunt showcases the works of local photographers. There are plenty of booths and tables along the walls, and the bar is located smack dab in the middle of the medium-sized-yet-spacious space. The dancefloor does get crowded when resident and guest DJs spin sets ranging from reggae to techno to retro tunes. Best part? Every type of person fits in, whether you sip cosmos or chug cheap brews -- Darkroom is practically a haven for world peace. If you hate going to bars where people bump into you with nary an "excuse me", this is the place for you.
