After undergoing renovations and updates, Circuit has now reopened. This gay dance club first throbbed to life behind a run-down coffee shop on weekend nights in 1996. After extensive remodeling of the coffee shop, few signs of these modest origins remain. A young, racially mixed clientele downs frozen drinks in the front lounge, called, appropriately, Rehab, which opens in the early evening and then at around 9 p.m.Thursday through Sunday, dancing kicks off in the sizable room behind the bar where Circuit first started. The club features a rotating lineup of DJs and is hosted by some of Chicago's club personalities.
