Great neighborhood spot
By JamesCherokee from Gold Coast, July 13, 2009

Overall rating:
4

I live in the neighborhood and have visited Dublin's 30-40 times on the past couple years, never have written a review, but have never been dissapointed with the food or service. Everything on the menu is great tasting, large portions, and very reasonable prices. Of course drinking here is going to be a little pricy ($5+ beers; $8-10 drinks) but that is the area. This is a casual dining and drinking spot in the G.C. so you should not expect to be pampered by the staff. Dublin's is what it is and does not try to be anything more. Come in, get some really good cheap food, several drinks, and be on your way. One of my favorite gold coast spots.

Rip off

My husband always orders a double Crown and Ginger Ale where ever he goes when out at a bar/club-

He ordered 3 Double Crown and Gingers last night, we get the bill and this is how it was:

3 DBL CROWN $25.50
3 DBL SHOT $25.50
---------------------------
$51.00

Never has he had to pay anything like that at any club or bar in Chicago or any other state he has been at-When he asked the manager about it he was very rude to us and said "everyone charges this amount" which isn't true-So 3 drinks cost him $51, outrageous-
You get ripped off here-

London Calling
By Fraser, London from London, England, November 26, 2007

Overall rating:

As very regular visitor's to Chicago, my wife and I always visit Dublin's, sometimes to often, as it is simply our favourite bar in the City. The food is always good, the Nachos excellent. The staff have always been friendly and most importantly good at their job. No matter what time we end up "popping in" be it a lunchtime after shopping or in the early hours of the morning, we have always enjoyed our visits. Looking forward to spending Christmas Eve night there this year, 2007. Wish I could ship it lock, stock and barrel back to my neighbourhood.

i agree the service can use improvement, but this is a packed place what do you expect? it's packed because the food is amazing, particularly for a bar and the value can't be beat. homemade delicious soups, huge salads, and everything is so fresh and made on the premises. worth the wait and while you wait, they pour on the drinks while you people watch. it's win win.

I went to dublins with five girlfriends to enjoy a night out on the town. The waitstaff was extremely rude, and unattentive. We hung out for around 15 minutes after we were done eating, and the manager asked us to leave because there were people waiting for tables. She was extremely rude and unproffesional. I would never go to this place again.
