Wow - talk about an amazing menu. Thankfully I was there with a couple of other people so we were able to taste more selections, but there is so much more that intruiges me, especially because everything I tasted was amazing. The grilled veggies with a goat cheese fondue and the barbeque duck appetizers are especially worth noting. Portions are generous, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoy pairing a great selection of wines with truly unique and wonderful menu items.

The warm bread was perfect. A gorgeous mixed green salad with goat cheese was excellent. I ordered paella - scallops, clams, mussels and shrimp on a bed of basmati rice flanked with french green beans cooked to perfection. The paella had a mild smoky undertone, perfect for a cold winter's night. We will definitely return. A+

We love this place! Some of our favorite dishes are the pork tenderloin with goat cheese and figs, the High Cotton soup and. in season, the cassoulet - as close to France as you can get in DuPage County. The beer-batter fried green beans are an absolutely delish alternative to fries (although the frittes are crisply perfect as well). Want to try venison or kangaroo? There's usually a succulent game offering on the menu. The room is contemporary and welcoming. The staff is outstanding - as is the wine list. A great place to learn about and try a wide variety of wines. And the music on weekends rocks.

Celebrated our 28th Anniversary at Cab's last Saturday. The food and service are outstanding!! The cheese flight was wonderful, as was my tilapia. Our wonderful server Effram was very attentive without being pushy. Would highly recommend Cab's.

We had a fabulous Valentine's Day dinner at Cab's. The only reason I didn't give this place a straight 4 stars were just for little things: the hostess (who was about 80 years old) must've asked us for our name about 5 times as we stood there waiting for our table, the restaurant was cold and drafty and there was a visibly drunk (and LOUD) woman at the bar who bothered a lot of the other patrons. HOWEVER, our food was absolutely fabulous (the decadent cheese plate appetizer for $10 is a steal!) and our server was a doll. We enjoyed the complexities of their menu as well as a delicious bottle of moderately-priced wine. Make it a destination meal -- just 1.5 blocks from the Metra!

I would give this restaurant a solid 3-3.5 out of four. As recent transplants from the city is is nice to find a restaurant with urban decor and sophisticated menu. We had a great meal/great wine and good service (a bit too long between appetizer and main course). We dined at 7:00 on a Saturday night and my only complaint is that it became VERY loud by 8pm. I could not hear/be heard by the person sitting next to me without raising my voice/reading lips.

We were visiting friends in Glen Ellyn who took us out to this fine establishment. We found the wine, food and service superlative. We wish we had a place like this in Oak Park, unfortunately we only have the Oak Park Abbey which can't compare to Cab's--too bad.
