of all the talented people in chicago why the spot had to have that load of crap performing there and to my understanding they are there every monday night. I will never go bakc to the spot again. That improv group sucks and the spot sucks for letting them perform there.

Diva Brunch Is Awesome!!

If you haven't been to The Spot's Diva Brunch on Sundays -- you are missing out! For only $35, we got: unlimited mimosas or bellinis, a brunch menu where the food is spectacular (french toast with bananas foster, waffles the size of your head, steak and eggs, you name it) and entertainment that will make you laugh and sing! The infamous Scooty and JoJo put on a spectacular show with the ever-so-great staff at The Spot. There is no other brunch in Chicago like it... I've already been 7 times -- the entertainment is different every week, so why not??!!

I went to Sunday brunch with my friend, first timers- everyone was very friendly, the food was amazing (great Chef, good menu!!!!), and the entertainment was hilarious. We had a great time, and walked out of there with a smile on our face- this is an experience you need to try for yourself.

I had my birthday party there last night and we all had a fantastic time. The friendly staff really went out of their way for us to ensure that we were all having fun. I highly recommend this excellent bar for anyone looking to have a party or just hang out. We will definitely go back!

Sports Teams!!!!

My friends and I have been playing in The Spot's dodge ball league and we've been having a BLAST! Everyone is great and really has fun! The Spot even sponsored our teams and we get t-shirts, drink specials after the games and a chance to win a skybox at a White Sox game. If you have a sports team you want sponsored, go to The Spot, they do it up right! Oh, they'll be beginning a kickball league soon.... Fun fun!

I was at the Spot in February and had a blast!! Our bartender John was hilarious and he made AWESOME drinks! The jukebox had great music, and plenty of it. I would absolutely go back again. I thought the Spot was an adorable place with tons of things to offer. Definitely check this one out!!

I Saw You at the Spot is Stupendous!
By Midnight Writer from Lincoln Square, April 15, 2008

Good bar food and some swankier items abound on the menu; the staff is young and hip; the location, albeit iffy, has ample street parking and doormen to make sure your smoke break isn't too sketchy; but the main course is definitely Bruised Orange Theater Company's I Saw You show. They perform personal ads from the Reader as a sort of group stand-up showcase - all the while staying more or less true to the text of the ads. Some are outrageous, but nothing offensive (unless you're so very faint at heart), and the performers are almost flalwless in their easy-going, inductive improvisations. My lady friend and I thoroughly enjoyed both performances we've seen (the first was on a Friday, but the show has since moved to Monday nights). Go for the kalamari, stay for the show and the drink specials. Highly recommeded. . .

When in doubt, check it out. My friends and I were looking for something different for the night. Well we found it! The Spot has a great menu. We filled ourselves with the Best Calamari which it was. Then moved to a shared salad with everything on it. Dinner was Prime Rib cooked to perfection. Our Waiter recommeded a great bottle of wine and it was the perfect touch to our dinner. We moved upstairs for a show called Tran. It was amazingly funny and entertaining. After the show to the other bar for some fast cocktails and great music. All in all... it was like bar hopping in ONE bar. The staff
from the doormen to the valet were all attentive, nice and fun. We are coming back soon.
Keep up the good work.

Very disappointing

This must - with no doubt - be one of the worst venues I have been to in Chicago. The food was bad, so bad we returned it.....they still charged us full price and no one bothered when we told them the food was not edible....the drinks were overpriced....

I came in on the other Monday night, not knowing what to think. What a surprise! Amazing! I ordered the steak and it was cut to order and perfectly cooked. Ron the Chef knows what he is doing! I am coming back with friends! The wait staff was very friendly.
