There are so many transplanted Michiganders in Chicago, it's a wonder they don't have their own neighborhood. They do, however, have their own bar. The Gin Mill was founded by a group of Michigan State graduates, and it looks very East Lansing on the inside: On the walls are Spartan flags, maps of the Great Lakes, a Detroit Lions poster. ''All the owners went to Michigan State and all the employees,'' co-owner Anthony Eugenio says. True to his alma mater's party-now, study-later ethic, Eugenio says this of the Gin Mill: ''If you're looking for a good place on Friday or Saturday night, this is the place to come. It gets out of control. We've got a DJ.'' Find eight TVs over the front bar, five in the back room and a big screen on the back wall by the back bar.
