Smooth groovin'

If you want hot grooves in a cool atmosphere, the Backroom is where it's at. Bobby Lewis & his band grace the stage several times a week, and his new saxophonist Jason Middle wrote the book on jammin! It never ceases to amaze me how people complain about paying a cover charge to hear quality music, but will pay $20 for valet because they're too lazy to park their own car. What are you doing in the Gold Coast - there are plenty of suburban dives that have a bar stool reserved for you...

BEWARE THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A $20.00 COVER. THEN THEY CHARGE 10.00 FOR A WATERED DOWN MARTINI THAT SERVED IN THE SMALLEST MARTINI GLASS I'VE EVER SEEN. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!

Great music, surly service. Prepare to drop some cash -- we paid $15 cover plus the indicated 2 drink minimum per set. Drink prices are in the strip club range. Music was excellent, but the level of amplification was unnecessary for the size.
