The tempting scents of ribs and steaks charring over a wood fire make your stomach growl and draw you in the right direction: Walk through the door and you've gone back in time to a 1940s nightclub; swing music plays in the background and the decor is black and white Art Deco. Oversized black and white glamour shots deck the walls and vintage-style bark cloth drapes the doorways. Specializing in steak, chops and seafood, the restaurant cooks most of its dishes over flaming wood. The open kitchen provides a front-row view of the chefs as they work the wood-burning oven and rotisserie and flip steaks on a huge blazing grill. Customer favorites include baby back ribs, horseradish-crusted filet, spit-roasted herb chicken and roasted prime rib. The bar is stocked with specialty martinis and 26 wines by-the-glass, including tasting flights. The bar offers a list of 40 different cocktails--from sidecars to pink ladies--and has several microbrews on tap.
