The Lodge Management group, which owns 11 bars in the area, bills Streeters as ''The Greatest Bar Below Earth.'' By far the lowest-key bar among the Lodge offerings (most of the rest are in the neighboring Rush and Division neighborhood), Streeters offers little to distinguish itself--which seems to be fine with its fiercely loyal customers. With a special microbrew each month, outdoor seating and a foosball table, the place maintains a college-bar atmosphere; indeed, it has been adopted as the choice drinking locale by many graduate students at the nearby downtown campuses of Northwestern and Loyola Universities. Streeters doesn't serve food except during lunch hours, but on request waitstaff will order food from Lodge-owned Downtown Dogs and deliver it to you.
