all i have to say to those people who go to bars to have a waitress handle their drink order, then complain when it takes too long, is GET UR LAZY BUTT UP AND GET IT YOURSELF! I love sluggers. it was the first chicago bar i ever went to and I have been to many since, and it still ranks among the top 5 in my book. I love bars where people are just there to have a good time, and sluggers is that kind of place. never a dull moment here!

I'm prompted to write this after a quick blurb in the RedEye with Opening Day and all. Other reviews have to be kidding! I went here after a Cubs game last season and was disgusted. This place was like the worst frat house in college after a raging Friday night party. Peanut shells on the floor, sticky tables everywhere, beer sludge on the floor; I wouldn't even sit down it was so dirty. It was 5pm! Cleanliness trumps everything else; no way could I have fun there.

the dualing pianos rocked, we had no problem getting our drinks or seats. it was our first time in chicago and sluggers was by far one of our favorite places we visited!! I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed the cubs game!!

We caught the Dueling Piano show after the Cubs game... it totally rocked and was a hilarious great time. The best thing to do in Wrigleyville. The female servers are hot!

This bar is loads of fun. Dueling pianos is fun, lots of places to sit, and game room is great. Takes forever to get a drink, but thats pretty standard when any bar is packed.

I went to Sluggers on Cubs opening weekend and had a TERRIBLE experience. Our waitress would write down our order and turn around less than 2 seconds later and ask us to repeat the whole thing. We waited over 45 minutes for our drinks (2 beers and a diet coke) before cancelling our order. While I could imagine why people enjoy Sluggers, the horrible service and the overcrowding will keep me away.

Ok, I have no idea why those people wrote such bad reviews, I almost take offense. Sluggers is my absolute favorite bar, and not just because my roommate is one of the bartenders. Sluggers represents tradition and that good ol wrigleyville hospitality. This is a place where no matter where your from you feel comfortable. The regulars are wonderful people and all the staff are the best people I have ever met. I know sluggers will be around for many more generations of Cubbie fans and be just as great as it was for mine.
