The Hollywood Lounge has 17 beers on tap and about 50 bottled beers. "We have a lot of regular customers," says owner Dave Ortlepp, "but people who come in for the first time say that they're not intimidated by the regular crowd. We're a friendly place." Many of the bar's regular patrons are from the neighborhood, North Park University, Northeastern University and WTTW-TV studios. Lamps hang from the ceiling and there's a jukebox. The Hollywood opens early for special sporting events on the bar's wide-screen TV. The Hollywood also has an another unique amenity--Max the Wonder Dog, the owner's German shepherd, who likes to hang out with the bar's patrons.
