Imagine some fraternity brothers dreaming up a bar from the basement of their frat house--what they'd probably come up with is something like Bird's Nest, furnished with beer company decor on the walls, a pool table, vintage video games and, in the back room, a small stage surrounded by couches for live entertainment on Tuesday nights. Actually, this neighborhood spot does not draw frat-house refugees as much as its nearby Lincoln Park counterparts do. On most nights, tight-knit groups of friends gather around the tall bar tables to share conversation and heaping plates of appetizers. There's also a strong contingent from Chicago's earthy/crunchy crowd that gravitates to the back room for the weeknight acoustic music sets.

They now have trivia here on Tuesday nights. And half price glasses of wine! Great service - waitress and bartender both super friendly.
