Lilly's is an eclectic little music joint in the heart of Lincoln Park that features an array of rock, jazz and Americana acts charging covers well below the established rates in most venues across the city. This DePaul area watering hole has a wide variety of import beers in bottles and on tap, as well as a piano. Lilly's is a small room with a second-floor balcony that fills up early with cozy couples. On warm nights, the French windows open up onto the street and cats occasionally wander in and out. And oh, yes, there really is a Lilly--she has a quick and sometimes acerbic wit, so don't be rude.

To describe this place as cozy is giving it too much credit. What a dive. Grungy, smelly, bad sound, unpleasant people--not much to recommend.
