At Dick's, you sit at long tables or along the bar across from an open kitchen that looks like a concession stand. The menu features messy stuff like barbecue ribs and chicken, catfish, and shrimp any style; anything that can be served in a bucket, is. Weather permitting, outdoor seating along the river is popular. Dick's is famous for its raucous, New Orleans-style Mardi Gras parties, but this place is always jumpin'. The back room along the boat slip walkway has TVs at each end, often tuned to big games. Stop by for Sunday brunch, which includes a Beatles tribute band, a Bloody Mary bar and all-you-can-eat homestyle eats. Our favorites: crab cake Benedict, biscuits and gravy and buttery Belgian waffles.
