Located just a few short blocks from Wrigley Field, this is one of the top post-Cub-game and Bulls-watching bars in Wrigleyville. It offers more elbow room than the better-known Murphy's, Cubby Bear and Bernie's -- and its beers are cheaper. Piano Man got its name from a pianist who once played in a corner of the room; he's long gone, replaced by a jukebox featuring alternative and classic rock, blues and big band music. Patrons may order from an adjacent Mexican restaurant or bring in food from other local restaurants. This is also a popular hangout for members of Chicago's fire and police departments. Owner Ron is a Florida State alumnus, and though Piano Man has no satellite feed for its several television monitors, he'll gladly inform patrons of the Seminoles' successes on the football field.
