Pub 222 is your basic Irish Pub, but with a few extras. The decor inside incorporates the perfunctory tartan accents, a tin ceiling, a big, carved-wood bar and other Irish-esque accouterments. During the day, it's a popular lunch spot for the business crowd. 222 serves an array of sandwiches plus European favorites such as shepherd's pie or corned beef and cabbage. In the evening, it's a somewhat upscale night spot for both the twentysomethings and thirtysomethings. Cover bands play every Saturday while during the warmer months, patrons take in the tunes from the beer garden. A wrought iron balcony lends a New Orleans flavor to the outdoor setting.
