This unique Canadian-based retail wine shop chain / vintner brings a new twist to the wine craze. Wine is fermented on premises from pre-squeezed juice (mostly a mix of Napa and Sonoma grapes). After about three to four weeks, the wine is bottled and ready to drink. The selection of wines available changes periodically, but includes favorites like pinot noir, cab, merlot, reisling as well as more out-there selections like black currant fruit wine. Customers can bottle their own wines, and make their own labels. There is a small tasting room/wine bar in front for those who prefer to sip in house. You can also take advantage of free wi-fi service -- and in another unique twist, franchise owner Carol Wieland tells us you're welcome to BYOF (bring your own food) to snack while you sip.
