Since the smoking ban I go out a lot more. I have finally found a pub that has it all. In Ireland pub are places that can be enjoyed by the whole familly. Tommy Nevins is just that. My husband and kids love this place and to be honest I do as well. The menu is large enough to visit two or three times a week, service is good and the place is very lively. I love the fact that its not the same old chain place. In fact I heard they are feeding 500 people that are down and out this Thanksgiving. Way to go Tommy! I always try to give back to places that have roots in their communities but trust me I am not giving back a thing Im always very pleased with everything. Thanks again Good Job.

Save the hassle and skip it

We dined here frequently over the past year due to locale and good food. The service is spotty, the atmosphere is loud when busy, crowded tables, and non-descript decor. We go back for the food, but something negative usually happens during our visits. It's usually the inability to carry on a coversation because we always seem to end up seated near the kitchen or the busy aisles. The last straw was this weekend. We had a party of 6 celebrating my mother's 75th birthday and she chose Irish good at Nevins. We called ahead to reserve a quiet table at 5:30 and were assured we would be well taken care of. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation to find another party being led to our table. No other table was available to accomodate 6. The young (teen)hostesses were slow, inexperienced, and unfazed. One was outright rude. We never received an apology. Had to ask for the Manager who offered us a lame 'Sorry' and table on the aisle by the kitchen. We left and chanced finding another restaurant. We did and had a great experience. We will not return to Nevins again.

Ive been to many pubs and this Naperville spot has it all. Ive experience their dinning room and bar. The prices are very fair and service good. It also is very popular and has a great mix of 30 year olds. The only bad thing is their small parking lot but there is additional parking in the strip mail next to the pub. Great Pub! Familly friendly, Popular and Good Food.

Just went to Tommy Nevin's in Naperville. I was very impressed on how nice the bar was, but we were all extremely disappointed in the service there. The waitress forgot two orders of food and tried to hide the fact that they even forgot in the first place. We asked a few times and then decided that we were going to leave b/c we were getting our drinks in a timely manner either. As we're about to ask for the check, the food comes out (close to 10pm). Obviously, we sent the food back and the waitress decided to get an attitude with us. We asked for the manager to come over and he apologized and offered to buy us a round of drinks. The problem was that they forgot to bring all of the drinks ! Not a good experience at all. Would rather go somewhere else.
