The owners of Lincoln Parks' long-standing Salvatore's are behind this bar, which aims to straddle two popular concepts: the Irish pub, the neighborhood sports bar. The owners also wanted to borrow from the gastropub school of thought without overthinking the food too much; the result is pub classics prepared with care, from freshly battered chicken fingers to hand-formed burgers to fish and chips. To drink, expect 30 beers by the bottle and 20 on tap. Have a seat along the bar or the raised banquette in the main bar area, or head to the upstairs bar or back-room lounge outfitted with modular ottomans and low tables. During warm weather, head out to the sidewalk patio along Blackhawk Street.
