HORRIBLE service

I went here last night to watch a game. The bartender, while being nice, had NO clue what she was doing. Then, when the gentleman next to me asked the waitress to put a horse race on (duh! it is an OTB) she started yelling at him for no reason and got in his face. It was ridiculous to the point where I even said something. Anyways, this place has no personality and I would advise anyone to go somewhere a little more friendly

Sports, Beer, burgers, girls and I won $40

This could be the idea of the future. Classy horse racing, sports restaurant that girls like. There were 6 of us and we were at English Pub. Someone suggested we try Stretch Run. We had a ball. We never got upstairs to the Horse parlor. We stayed in the Sports restaurant area. But we bet a couple of races. I bet a my birthday numbers 2-17 on an exacta and won $40. We watched the NCAA games and met 3 girls from Ballo restaurant and went to Martini Park after the game. All three places are within 2 blocks on LaSalle St.

Belongs in a cheesy suburb!

Given the reviews on this site, we were excited to watch some college hoops and have a decent meal. We were sorely disappointed! The food was really bad -- fish and chips was significantly undercooked and ice cream sundae was subpar for a restaurant. The hostess and waitstaff were slow moving. Needless to say, we will not be back:(

Great place but one looming problem

I've been to Stretch Run a couple times via group outings. The staff takes good care of large parties, blocks off tables for you in advance, etc.

Unless, I am missing something, there is just one bathroom for dudes on the first floor and its maximum occupancy is 1 person at at time. Not good.

Great Food
By jkjacob from rogerspark, November 30, 2007

Had fun watching the bears game here on sunday. Loved the kobe beef sliders and ribs. This is looking like it might be my spot to watch the games on sunday cause there are so many tv's.

Great food. Lots of TVs

I have been twice since the opening of the bar and what I am most impressed with is the food. It much better quality food than you would expect at a sports bar. The half pound hot dog is definitely something you have to try. In addition they have a ton of televisions with just about every game on, and many of the tables have a personal TV so you can watch the game of your choice. The upstairs gambling area is very nice as well and can add some excitement to the experience if you enjoy betting on horses.

They Paid me to Drink

I was at Stretch Run a few days ago when they first opened. Although i am new to horse racing i found this wagering facility to be THE BEST. I was able to sit at the bar upstairs, watch the races i was betting on as well as the Bears game and college basketball at the same time. Bartenders and waitstaff were great and even tought me a few things about betting. I ended up walking out with more $$ than i came in with even after the drinks. They Paid Me To Drink!!!
