A little on the pricey side for mediocre (at best) food, drinks, and service. "The folks behind Brownstone Tavern & Grill, Schoolyard Tavern & Grill and Gaslight Bar & Grille have expanded their empire with Sidebar" -- the folks are the Domino's Pizza of bars - consistant but nothing anyone would ever brag about.
Report This ReviewNice place, veggie burger was very good, although the highly recommended kettle chips turned out to be very run of the mill potato chips. Good service and friendly. A bit pricey for lunch ($10-12 for a sandwich and fries) but not too bad for that area and the quality.
Report This ReviewGood food... the cookie skillet dessert was awesome! But share it- it's huge! I wasn't a fan of the service - I don't like when the server drops of the check with the food. Also, our entrees showed up about 2 minutes after our appetizer. Need to work this out!
Report This ReviewBeen here many times due to its convenience factor. Food is great but a bit pricey. Pricey too are the cocktails, and the pour could be better. Way too many yuppies later in the week, and the music is WAY too loud. If a major sports event is on, that is played at full volume too, which is SO not necessary.

Report This ReviewWOW. Worth the wait for lunch. Food was fast. Service was great. I am usually not interested in sitting in the bar but it was great. I will be back.
Report This ReviewI love the Cobb Salad. It is a bit expensive but I will still pay the price. My group was very impressed with the service. The curly haired server was very informative and attentive. Music was a bit loud.
Report This ReviewWe had the mushroom pita sandwich and southwestern salad, which were both very good. Service was efficient, but our server had the personality of an ice cube. We were seated in a bizarre side room with a TV and it was hard to hear even across our small table. 26 bucks for a sandwich, salad and 2 drinks is too steep, even by Loop standards.
Report This ReviewGreat food! Service was the best I have ever had. I will be back.
Report This ReviewI am hooked. Once a week almost since they opened. I think I have brought nearly every one of my friends to Sidebar so far and have eaten nearly everything on the menu. The staff is very welcoming and almost overly attentive- the crowd...wow the crowd. I don't know if the non-smoking thing helps this but the female component if something rivaled by no other venue downtown (south of Rush/State that is). A welcome change from the greek diner that was in this space before! Nice work Sidebar, and good luck!
