I walked past this place a bunch of times, as it's not too obvious it's there, but for the neon signs. Once I walked in, however, I found a friendly new neighborhood joint where many of my friends now drop in. The drink prices are far cheaper than anywhere else around, the owner always throws credits on the jukebox for the patrons to enjoy. They have karaoke on Thursdays, Open Mic night on Saturdays, and events in the upstairs loft Wednesday through Saturday that'll raise an eyebrow...in a good way. Vampire Night? Burlesque? Alice in Wonderland DJing and free Absinthe shots at some events? It's really a lot of fun, and they offer you two worlds in one...a nice neighborhood joint downstairs and a dance club atmosphere upstairs. They also have a better than average bar menu and the downstairs bartenders are locals and friendly...not just trying to make a buck off ya. You've got to drop in, it's worth it. Even when it's quiet downstairs, it's still a nice place to relax and drink and meet people.
Report This ReviewCome check out this bar located at the six corners by the Western Blue Line stop!! The food is fantastic, your normal bar appetizers and great sandwiches, along with some fried dishes like calamari or shrimp...mmm, my favorite. They have karaoke on Thursdays and I believe there's live music Saturday nights, soooo much fun when it's warm out and they open the front windows. Drinks are super cheap and the staff is a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend this bar for the locals and other Chicagoans looking for a new hang-out!!
Report This ReviewThe first thing that popped in to my mind was: "It's just another Chicago bar and grill." I was very wrong. They had dancing upstairs and their alcohol selection was moderate and reasonably priced. They didn't do the traditional countdown but the cover charge for a New Years Eve party was quite cheap. The staff was attentive and quite friendly. The food was spectacular, not to mention free. The hours were standard for a bar and parking is a breeze. The seating is comfortable and there was more than enough space for a large party. I got more than I paid for and some. I will defiantly go there again if the chance arises.
