This place has the best selection of beer anywhere in Illinois that I have found. The food is reasonable and quite good. I love their macoroni and cheese and their friend pickles. The owner is quite friendly and you will leave having Chris as your new best friend. Try it.

Yeah, they have a great microbrew selection...and not much else going on. Interior space is cramped, mainly due to a bar that is so wide it takes over half the room (which seems unnecessary, since they had one bartender on a Saturday night). Food was standard bar fare and unimpressive. Waitstaff were knowledgeable about the beers selection; unfortunately, they also seem to feel entitled to tell you how to drink your beer (e.g., I ordered bottled beer, but kept getting it in glasses. When I said something to the waitress, she told me "that's how beer is supposed to be served." Apparently the customer isn't always right!) Far better bars around DT naperville for atmosphere, so unless you're itching for a microbrew, there's no need for this place.

It's about time Naperville got a bar with a serious attention to Belgian ales and other specialty microbrews. Great food, beer and service! Great atmosphere. This place is a winner!

The beer list is quite extensive. My personal favorite is Kasteel Rouge, which is almost always on tap. The burgers are to-die-for...especially the Maple Bacon Cheddar Burger. I always order mine with a side of Mac 'n Cheese, which is always a must-have. Also be sure to try the fried pickles and gravy fries!

We have been waiting for a place like this to open in Naperville. The assoretd craft beers are outstanding!!! The bartenders and wait staff are very outgoing and will help you with any qustions you have regarding the assortment of craft beers. The food is excellent you have to try the Grumpy BLT, macaroni & cheese or the assorted mini burgers. So good. Our overall rating would be " EXCELLENT" place. P.S. you have to try the Kasteel on tap it taste like mix berry's and does wonders for you :). We make it a point to stop by at least twice a week with our friends. Oustanding place to Chris & Creig.

we are out of towners, who are fairly familiar w/ the chicago area night life. The Grumpy Bulldog hands down is the best bar you will find in Napervile. Not only is the food excellent, the bar staff and crowd is super friendly, very welcoming. Bar owners Craig and Chris have done an excellent job renovating this space. Guarentee you will find the beer you're looking for...

Great find! The owners Craig and Chris are great. Staff are friendly and efficient. The food is great, creative and inexpensive. Ask for the special, if they don't have one they will invent one for you. 10 taps of American Micro brews and roughly 60 or so brands in bottles. Craig and Chris also have a catering business as well as a "tailgating" BBQ service. We are big fans!!
