The folks at Bar1, who run post-college crowd hangs Duffy's and McGee's, hope their beer-drinking revelers will graduate to this tamer, more upscale bar when they're ready to dabble in higher-end liquor and wine. Have a seat at the gray marble bar or settle into a leather-backed banquette for a classic cocktail in a conversation-friendly setting; four flat-screen TVs play sports, but the volume's set low. The martini list is 20 strong, with Rat Pack-era classics plus fruity and creamy options. Become a regular and the bartenders might offer off-menu sippers, such as a solid pisco sour. The stainless steel contraption at the end of the bar is an Enomatic Wine System, keeping 16 bottles of wines air-tight and cooled to the perfect temperature.
