Best Outdoor Beach Party

I frequent Castaways at least twice every summer and I always have a great time. However, I went on Sunday, July 27 and had the best time ever! The theme was Christmas in July and I went mainly to support the band playing, Catfight. I got there at 2:30 and left at 10:30. I danced for 8 hours straight, with the band and the coolest DJ ever! Everytime I tried to leave, a good song came on and I was back on the dance floor. The great thing is that everybody was having a good time dancing with each other, and it was a mixed bunch. My friend went for the first time and definitely wants to go back again. Drinks are awesome as well. If you're looking for a place to meet fun people, hear good music and consume good food and drinks, Castaways is the place to go while the weather is hot!!

Fun place to have a drink and a bite to eat. HONEST frienly service. When I recently forgot my wallet on the table, I realized it several hours later and went back. My wallet was returned to me with all of my cash and credit cards still in it!!!

Castys is the prefect bar to go to in the summer. Great view. Right on the beach. The food and the service are marginal, at best, but that is not why you got to castys... Great place to grab some drinks on the beach.

Yes, on hot days you'll find attractive people around...but you only have to go on the beach to see that. the food isn't anything special but it's decent bar food and is whats expected... the problem is the service/staff. a few of the servers were nice. but i went to order a beer and the bartender, who at the moment wasn't busy, rudely told me "you need to sit at a table and order it". no please or kindness. so i sat down and waited 20 min for a cup of beer...i dont know what castaways customer service policy is, but it sucks. this place should rock, get new management or something.

This place is for the tourist and those who don't know any better. "True" Chicagoans would never be seen here. There are so many great outdoor spots the city has to offer don't waste your time or money!

You don't get a better location than this. Great view, GREAT people watching! You can hang out all day in your swim suit and gawk at all the hotties. Tasty drinks, but the food is AWFUL, so eat before you get there!
