Middle Eastern music plays constantly from the speakers in Andie's, a two-level romantic restaurant that blends Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine. The menu includes a great selection of vegetarian dishes. On Fridays and Saturdays, musicians come in to perform Greek and Arabian songs. The restaurant's owner, Anwar Tamras, is Assyrian. Paintings on the walls depict scenes from that ancient culture, which thrived at the same time as Babylon. It's the second location for Andie's, which opened here in 1992. The original Andie's at 5253 N. Clark opened in 1979. Both restaurants are very popular with lovers of exotic, yet reasonably priced, cuisine.
