Naha: User Reviews
It is pretty good. High quality ingredients still don't justify high prices especially on the wines. Very minimalist decor makes the room cold and difficult for business converstation.

My wife and I frequently go to Naha on a Friday nite and sit at the bar, We like trying new wines and sharing an appetizer or two. Our favorite has been the Asian style Chicken wings which are truly addicting. Our new fave is the Short Rib sandwich with foie gras. - delicious Also, the Spicy Ahi Tuna is the best in town and worth the visit.
The people are nice and the ambiance cool. Definitely recommend it

I was looking forward to eating at Naha and have heard some very good things about the restaurant. I ordered the Great Lakes white Fish and it was absolutely the worst dish I've ever had in a restaurant -- seriously. The fish had absolutely no flavor except for an intensely overpowering charred grill flavor (yuck). The rest of the dish (veggies) were bland with no seasoning. They offered to comp the meal or bring another dish, both of which I refused because I didn't want to look like someone who complained and got a free meal. I won't go back though. The ambiance is dull and I find it highly over rated.

About two weeks ago, my husband and I had an impromptu lunch one Monday afternoon at Naha. Neither of us had ever dined there and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. We were offered an excellent seating near the windows, followed by friendly and unpretentious service by our waiter. The drinks and food were divine - the hibiscus iced tea and lemonade were sweet and uncompromising, and our appetizers and main dishes were so good we wished the meal would not end. That day, we enjoyed risotto with morels, as well as a tomato soup. My husband ate the Naha special fried chicken salad with homemade ranch which was mouth-watering, and I devoured a lamb stew with chickpeas. For dessert, we shared homemade chocolate chocolate chip ice cream and another lovely dessert. Even the valet service was friendly and quick. Run, don't walk, to Naha and enjoy a top notch restaurant.

You xan go every week and find new items to try. Servers are great with
offering suggestions. Also love eating at the bar, friendly bartenders & eclectic
wines by the glass. i recommend NAHA to all my friends and colleagues.

I love NAHA and go often, sometimes to just have a drink at the bar and something off the bar menu, or to dine in the dining room. I was so thrilled when I saw NAHA was going to participate in the Restaurant Week, because of the value, but mostly because it was cool of such a great restaurant to be part of a city event where a three course meal would cost less than one of their entrees! We had a great time, the place was packed, every table, bar stool and lounge area as well. I had to do a good amount of pleading to get in, but the office manager is the chef's sister and she took notice of how many times I had dined with them and she secured me a table. Everything was delicious, I had the Cured Lake Superior Trout, followed by a roasted Quail with Polenta, Slab Bacon and some shell beans with beautiful garnishes, dessert was a fragrant pineapple Tart. We had a tremendous bottle of wine...and a couple glasses of champagne at the bar since we could afford it since the meal was specially priced at $31.95 pp so that was fun!
They didn't skimp, we still had cookies with our espresso and mignardises as well.
The staff is always friendly and genuine and they play the best music. So what if the room gets loud, it means they are doing business. I hate a quiet whispering dining room.
Restaurant week ends in a day or so, but it was cool to enjoy it with hoardes of other people who came to eat!

Had a decent meal at Naha. The decor was lovely. Service was adequate, as was the food. The menu seemed very exciting, but when the food came out it was fairly dull. It was a good enough meal, but definitely not worth the price.

We celebrated our anniversary here recently. Even though we alerted the restaurant to this fact ahead of time, and even though it was 9:00 on a Friday and the restaurant was only 1/3 full, we were given the worst table in the restaurant. Our server was horrendous... snooty and inattentive. When we inquired about the dress code over the phone, we were told that the restaurant "doesn't do jeans." This is fine. But we were the only people in the place NOT wearing jeans! They shouldn't be so rude and pretentious when their restaurant is half-empty and their entire crowd is dressed in what they claim they "don't do."
Food was really great, but couldn't shake the feeling that we were out of place. Couldn't get any information from the server whatsoever.... so the culinary experience was lacking. They need to revamp their staff, and it would be an excellent restaurant.

I had walked past Naha numerous times and paid no avail. Never again! Every part of the meal, from the wine to the appetizers to the desserts was absolutely phenomenal. Our server was well versed in all items on the menu, and her recommendations were dead on. I will be going back to this restaurant time and time again and will keep recommending it to friends and strangers alike. I'm not the foodie snob type, but I know what I like, and Naha surpasses my generally high standards.

I had dined at Naha before and had a lovely experience: beautiful dining room, good service, exceptional food. I had been excited all week to return for dinner on New Year's Eve, but was surprised and very, very disappointed by our meal. The appetizer of squash soup I ordered came to the table barely lukewarm. Someone sitting near me complained about hers, and the waiter expained that's how it's served. He offered to warm it, but said that would compromise the flavor. Maybe--but I've had squash soup served piping hot elsewhere and the flavor was as good, if not better, than this. Next: an entree of artic char and lobster, also served lukewarm. The lobster was so rubbery I literally could not eat it--I could not cut it to eat it, and I really tried. The artic char just tasted like fish skin. To make matters worse, the lobster and char were plopped into puddle of thick white goo that tasted like lard mixed with flour--served lukewarm. I took about three bites of this very, very expensive entree and just gave up. I can eat just about anything, but I could not eat this food. Several hours later, I'm hungry and have a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I'd stayed home and cooked! On the bright side, Naha's dining room is still pretty, our server was excellent, and at least we drank some good champagne.
