In late 1996, Mike Schuba broke through the walls of his tavern/music club Schubas to the building next door and added a dining room decorated with folk art and stained glass windows. "We needed a place for people to sit and eat when bands started doing their sound checks," says Schuba. The Grill's kitchen (which also services the bar) serves up American regional comfort food such as meatloaf, pot roast or seven different types of mac and cheese. Sandwiches, salads and burgers with a bit more ambition than typical bar food round out the menu. The weekend brunch is also a popular draw -- filling the tables and booths in the music room as well as Harmony Grill. The a la carte menu includes corn cakes, biscuits and gravy, French toast and build-your-own omelets.

Delicious comfort food, and the staff is so friendly. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Everything I've ever eaten here has been sublime.
