This suburban outpost of John Barleycorn can only be described as huge: It's a two-story brick behemoth plopped down on the corner of American Lane and National Parkway just west of Woodfield Mall. The main floor is split into a bar and a dining room, with a subtle-enough dose of nautical decor and flat-panel TVs displayed nearly everywhere you look.
The second floor boasts a sprawling dance floor, three bars and a stage, where cover bands will play on weekends. Along either side of the space, you'll find a dozen booths decked out for bottle service. A second-floor outdoor patio is open on weekdays during the day (11 a.m.-4 p.m.) but otherwise closed for private parties.
