Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center

The Belvis Cultural Center was founded in the early '70s to showcase artistic works by members of Chicago's Puerto Rican community. The center, named after one of Puerto Rico's historical heroes, also coordinates classes, cultural tours and workshops around the city. Its Wicker Park office is a visual delight--many artists' works hang on the walls in the foyer and hallways. If you like what you see, a donation to the center will allow you to take that photograph or painting home with you. Many of the workshops and classes offered are geared to children and teens, but adults can sign up for salsa and watercolor classes.
