Illinois Railway Museum
The Railway Museum has several miles of track and authentic-looking rail buildings for its collection of steam, diesel and electric engines and rolling stock. This museum is a major stop for anyone with a hankering to see what old-time railroading was like. The enthusiasm of its members--many of them former railroadmen who are experts at restoring old equipment--is contagious and can make the average museumgoer a devoted fan.
