3Arts is renovating its gracious Gold Coast building to accommodate a new generation of artists. They will transform their three upper floors into 39 apartments to provide modern, affordable housing for artists studying in Chicago. The public arts center will house ceramic, photography and mixed media studios, a black box theatre, sound proof music practice rooms, an expanded gallery, and a performance hall. The restoration will uphold the integrity of this Chicago landmark and perpetuate the 3Arts mission into a new era. Project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2007.
