The Graham Foundation, located in a splendid early Prairie-style mansion near the Gold Coast, hosts architecture exhibits and lectures of interest to architectural professionals and aficionados. Recent exhibits have included marvelous photos of classical antiquities in Italy and Greece. Other times the subject has been Chicago's noble architectural past. Occasionally the subject is more contemporary and challenging. (Opaque architectural theory is not unknown here.) In any case, visitors usually understand that the Graham Foundation is a place to get beneath the surface of architectural thinking of the past, present and sometimes the future.
